At Minitel we pride ourselves on our friendly and knowledgeable technicians and the strength of their product knowledge.  After more than 35 years in business many of our technicians have been with us for decades and we continue to invest in their training and certifications for the newest technologies.  At regularly scheduled technician’s meetings our techs share their recent on the job experiences building our organizational knowledge and strengthening our technical team.

Support for Legacy Phone Systems

With 35 years’ experience we’ve seen a lot of different systems and come and go!  In addition to servicing the Mitel, Avaya and the other systems we currently sell, our technicians have a wealth of experience with legacy Mitel and Nortel systems and we maintain a large inventory of spare parts and refurbished sets so we can continue to service customers using these older systems.

We understand that choosing a new business phone system is a big commitment and one that competes with other business priorities.  We are proud to support many clients on legacy systems until they are ready to upgrade.

Comprehensive User Training

Our customers continue to tell us that one of the things they like best is the quality of our training staff, since thorough training makes it easier to adapt to new technology.  No system is sold without including system administration and/or end-user training and we continue to provide free training to customers on Minitel Service Agreements, (as required and hosted on our premises).

At Minitel Communications we pride ourselves on the high quality of our end-user training to ensure customers get the most out of their communications investment. Our experienced training staff will work with you to provide a training curriculum and training schedule that suits your needs.

Clients can learn in our specially designed training and demonstration facilities or at their own premises.  User training is conducted in small group sessions with Minitel trainers who genuinely care about helping customers understand their systems and increase their efficiency and competitiveness through voice mail, ACD, CTI, mobility and other communications technologies.

Minitel Service Agreements

A good service agreement sets the stage for a strong client relationship that will last for many years. It represents a commitment between Minitel and our customers and guarantee that you will receive priority service when you need it most.

Our service agreements ensure that your equipment is optimally maintained, helping to extend the life of your system and protect you against unexpected breakdown costs. All Minitel Service Agreements offer 24×7 emergency support, 365 days a year.

Service Agreement Benefits

Priority response time – Service agreement members will take priority in dispatching of calls. Problems are responded to within 1 hour for major repairs and within 24 hours for normal repairs.

Repair service calls – No material or labour costs. Telephone repairs can cost hundreds of dollars, major system failures can cost thousands of dollars if equipment is not covered under a service agreement.

Hardware replacement if equipment fails and it is unable to be repaired – eliminates “down time” from having to ship out equipment for repair.  If required, Minitel will provide a replacement system.

Identification of Bell line problems – Minitel will report any line problems to Bell Canada on behalf of their customer and ensure problem is resolved. Saves time! 

In-house training in Minitel’s demonstration room – have new or existing employees trained for end-user functions or on administration programming of the system.

Call-in programming support – resolve most programming questions without waiting for a technician visit. Saves time and money!

Coverage – 24 hours per day, 7 day per week, 365 days a year.

We have used the team at Minitel for our office telephone systems and support for over 12 years. (Prior to that I had the good fortune to work with them at two previous workplaces.) During this time, we have replaced our phone systems in our three offices (Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal) and are in the process of upgrading our current system to accommodate our new videoconferencing system and allow direct dialing between offices (including our remote Calgary office). Through it all Minitel has offered amazing service and support to all of our offices. Their staff is professional, accountable, helpful and friendly.
